Your privacy and the security of your mental health data are our highest priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Data Collection & Storage
MindLens is built on a "Local First" architecture. We do not save your assessment answers, scores, or reports on our servers.
- All assessment data is saved directly to your browser's
localStorage. - If you clear your browser history or cache, your data will be permanently deleted.
- We do not require you to create an account, meaning your data is never linked to an email address or identity.
2. Third-Party AI Processing
To generate your comprehensive psychological report, your raw assessment scores are sent securely to our backend server, which acts as a proxy to the Google Gemini AI engine. The AI analyzes the data to return a report. We do not store this data during transit, and Google's enterprise API policies prohibit them from using API data to train their models.
3. Cookies and Advertising
We may use third-party advertising companies (such as Google AdSense) to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
